Ashan R. Hampton, founder of Onyx Online Education, LLC--Write Well University™--is currently the State Distance Learning Coordinator for Arkansas Adult Education after serving as an English instructor in higher education for several years. Ashan proudly cherishes the distinction of being the first Black female graduate of the Donaghey Scholars Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, under the direction of Dr. C. Earl Ramsey, Emeritus. As of December 2025, Ashan has completed all course work for her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Adult Education Administration through Capella University with a 4.0 GPA. Outside of academics, Ashan worked for short stints as a technical writer, website designer, digital content coordinator, proofreader, and legal editor. She is also a published author with multiple books on a variety of writing topics, now available on Amazon, Lulu, and other popular booksellers.
